Farrah Karapetian is an artist and public thinker based in California, who works with narratives of agency in the face of loss. Her work is in multiple public collections, and her methods incorporate sculptural and performative means of achieving imagery that refigures the medium of photography around bodily experience and participation. She has received fellowships from the Fulbright Program, the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, the California Community Foundation, and the Center for Cultural Innovation. Her writing about visual and civic experience has been recognized by multiple publications and by the Creative Capital | Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant Program.
