Emily Knapp works at the intersection of art and strategy, lending talents to the creative agency i.d.e.a. as Director of Strategic Planning, and as an Industry Strategist for the University of California San Diego Design Lab. She is Vice President of the Board of Directors at Space 4 Art.

Knapp is also the Co-Founder and Creative Director of After 1920. Positioned behind a personal residence in San Diego, a small studio plays host to an artist residency that manifests in an invitation only salon series. Following in the spirit of the intense creative and cultural production that took place across America, France, and Germany in the 1920s, After 1920 endeavors to create space for an intimate engagement with contemporary, conceptual art and artists in order to bolster cultural collaborations in the San Diego community.
