Clinton Tolley writes and lectures on aesthetics, the philosophy of art, and the philosophy of culture.  He is a Professor in the Department of Philosophy at UC San Diego, and is affiliated faculty in the Latin American Studies and German Studies programs.  He is a co-organizer (with Nick Riggle) of the Southern California Aesthetics Forum, and is the coordinator of the History of Philosophy Roundtable and the Phenomenology Research Group at UCSD.  He is currently at work on a translation of a selection of early writings on aesthetics by the 20th century Mexican philosopher José Vasconcelos.
